BANGKOK, 28 April 2015 – Their Majesties the King and Queen have sent a message of condolence to the President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal in Kathmandu, expressing their sadness to learn of the powerful earthquake that hit the country on 25 April.
According to the Office of His Majesty’s Principal Private Secretary, Their Majesties the King and Queen said in the letter they were deeply distressed by reports of the devastating earthquake which caused immense loss of human lives, casualties and destruction of cultural heritage and infrastructure in Nepal.
Their Majesties extended their sincerest sympathy and condolences to the President and to all those who have suffered loss and bereavement in this natural disaster.
