BANGKOK, 27 August 2015 -The Royal Thai Armed Forces have sent a team of doctors and medical supplies to Myanmar this morning to help flood victims.
Supreme Commander of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Worapong Sa-nganetra presided over the delivery ceremony at the Royal Thai Air Force airfield.
According to General Worapong, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha instructed the Ministry of Defense to reach out to flood victims in Myanmar as part of the Thai government’s humanitarian efforts.
The Thai medical team consists of 51 people, also equipped with tap water producing tools. They are expected to stay and assist Burmese people until September 4th.
