BANGKOK, 24 December 2013 – The Southern Border Province Administrative Center (SBPAC) chief has remarked that compensation for the southern unrest victims cannot compensate for the lost lives but it proves that the government does not abandon them.
SBPAC Secretary-General Pol.Col.Thawee Sodsong said the government had continuously compensated the victims of the southern violence for a long time as another way to take care of them and help them live their lives properly. He added that everyone could be a victim of violence.
The official also emphasized that the victims needed compensation and other forms of assistance in order to regain their normal lives without becoming a burden on the society.
