BANGKOK, 28 November 2014 – The Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has sent the second lot of digital TV discount coupons to the public in more provinces by post today, expecting to be delivered within December.
According to the Chairman of NBTC Air Chief Marshal Thares Punsri, the NBTC office has sent more digital TV coupons to 1.7 million households in 21 provinces by post today.
He said that the second lot of delivery will be sent only to areas that already have digital TV signal coverage, which includes Lamphun, Ubon Ratchathani, Phitsanulok, Surat Thani, Amnat Charoen, Chonburi, Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Lopburi, Maha Sarakham, Chiang Mai, Saraburi, Phetchaburi, Chantaburi, Pattani, Pichit, Kanchanaburi, Kamphaengphet, Kalasin, Prachinburi, and Nong Bua Lamphu province.
Meanwhile, the Vice President of Regional Postal Bureau (Region 2), Saksit Akkalertlarp, has said that Thailand Post is capable of delivering coupons in this lot to every household between 28 November and 27 December 2014.
He said that Thailand Post has collected information on problems that occurred in the first batch of delivery to prevent and reduce any potential problems for this batch.
Thailand Post has also stressed its employees to advise recipients not to store the coupons with community leaders, said the Vice President of Regional Postal Bureau.
