NAKHON SI THAMMARAT, 1 May 2014 — A selection process for new Election Commission (EC) members is currently taking place in Nakhon Si Thammarat province.
Chairman of the provincial selection committee Aphinand Suethanuwong is holding a selection process for new EC members to replace the existing panel whose term will expire on June 30, 2014.
A total of 39 candidates have started showing their visions to the selection committee which will pick only 15 of them and forward their names to the central Election Commission for final selection. Only five candidates will be chosen as members of the Provincial Election Commission of Nakhon Si Thammarat.
The candidates in the current selection comprise leading provincial officials, pensioners, lawyers, media members and members of the general public.
