The Royal Thai Consulate General invited Chef Hong Thaimee, a distinguished Thai chef renowned for her exceptional culinary skills in the United States and several other countries, to share insights into Thai cuisine and delicacies.

General Somjai Taphaopong hosted the 2nd edition of “Thai Afternoon Tea” at the Consul General’s residence, welcoming esteemed members of the press and renowned influencers in New York City, as well as representatives from the Team Thailand agencies. The atmosphere was greatly warm and filled with the inviting aroma of Thai snacks and delicacies.

This edition of “Thai Afternoon Tea” featured savories and sweets made primarily with ‘Thai rice,’ aiming to promote the popularity of Thai ingredients in the United States market. Highlighting ‘Thai rice’ as a leading agricultural export product of Thailand, the event showcased its versatility in various snacks and treats, well presented in the internationally popular afternoon tea setting, reflecting the charm of Thai cuisine in diverse forms.
