
BANGKOK, Thailand – Silpakorn University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Huawei to enhance education and research in developing a Digital Creative University. The collaboration will focus on integrating modern digital technologies to advance the university’s growth.
Through this partnership, Huawei will provide technological support, knowledge, and assistance in developing personnel to design and implement plans that connect students and faculty to emerging digital systems. The initiative will also involve the creation of cultural computing systems that combine culture, creativity, and digital technology, and the development of prototype classrooms that foster creative innovation.
These efforts aim to accelerate scientific research innovation and support the development of education, research, and creative innovation, particularly in cultural computing.
Mr. William Zhang, President of Enterprise Business at Huawei Technologies Thailand, highlighted that technology is essential across various sectors, particularly in education, which serves as the foundation for development. He noted that the educational sector is evolving towards more intelligent systems in learning, teaching, scientific research, and management, signaling a period of transformation.
As part of this collaboration, the university aims to create a digital infrastructure linking all faculties and campuses, enabling seamless learning. This will include technologies that support cultural computing to innovate and generate cultural value, as well as integrating digital technology into health education and developing skills that align with the demands of the 21st-century workforce.
Moreover, Silpakorn University has launched Thailand’s first undergraduate digital health program to address the needs of modern industries.
