Known as one of Thailand’s top destinations for snorkeling and diving, the Similan Islands are recognized for their diverse underwater ecosystems and stunning coral reefs.

PHANG NGA, Thailand – The Similan Islands National Park in Phang Nga province is finalizing preparations for the start of the tourist season on October 15. Park officials are upgrading facilities and equipment to welcome the anticipated surge of visitors attracted to the Andaman Sea’s clear waters and rich marine life.

As part of the preparations, boundary buoys have been set up to designate snorkeling zones around Similan Island (Island No. and Ba-Ngu Island (Island No. 9). Meanwhile, inspections and replacements are being carried out on mooring lines at Payu Island (Island No. 7) and Bon Island to ensure safe docking for incoming boats.

The efforts prioritize safety and enhanced amenities to accommodate the high number of tourists expected during the peak season.
