On the afternoon of June the 3rd, police attended an accident on central road opposite Carrefour shopping center.
At the scene they found a six-wheeler truck carrying a high-voltage electricity adaptor which had smashed into 7 motorbikes.
The accident that could have been a whole lot worse.
The 50 year old driver of the truck stated that he was hired to take the adaptor from Bangkok to the Provincial Electricity Authority office on Pattaya central road.
However as he was going down central road his brakes failed and he took evasive action by purposely crashing into the motorbikes in an attempt to limit the any casualties and to stop his truck from hitting the traffic waiting at the red light ahead of him.
Luckily no one was hurt in the incident and the motorbike owners are now negotiating with the truck’s insurance company for compensation.
