The Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters organized the festive event at an army base in Doi Lo district on Friday, one day ahead of the national Children’s Day.

Over 1,000 children from remote villages of hill tribes explored and climbed up tanks and armored vehicles.  Some of them said they were inspired to become military officers.

The children along with their parents played fun games for prizes and giveaways from soldiers.

Thailand National’s Children Day is celebrated on the second Saturday of January.
