PHRAE, 20 April 2014 – Phrae has organized a walk-run mini marathon to promote tourist sites throughout the province. Scores of local runners and those from other provinces participated in the event.
Held on Sunday at the Rama IX Chalerm Phra Kiat Public Park, the walk-run mini marathon was the last event of the Songkran festival in the northern province of Phrae. It was aimed at promoting local tourism and persuading tourists to stay in the province longer during the Songkran holiday.
This year’s Songran festival in Phrae took place from 6-20 April 2014.
The walk-run mini marathon consisted of the 3-kilometer “Walk & Fun Run” and 10.5-kilometer mini marathon. Winners received trophies from Phrae Governor Apichart Todilokwech.
