BANGKOK, 18 August 2015  – Jeon Jae Man, ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Thailand, revealed that his country has not yet barred its citizens from travelling to Thailand after the Ratchaprasong explosion.

He said the Korean Government had just sent messages to its people traveling or living in Thailand, to raise their awareness of the incident. They were suggested to always take care of themselves while staying in the country.

The envoy affirmed that South Korea would not advise against travelling to Thailand if no new threats happen. At present, the Korean embassy is keeping a close contact with Thai authorities, checking whether the remaining unidentified Asian bodies are Koreans.
