SPIC’s ASEAN representative interested in clean energy investment and skill development in Thailand

Xu Song, the main representative for the ASEAN region from the State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC), met with Thailand Trade Representative (TTR) Professor Narumon Pinyosinwat at Government House. The purpose of the meeting was to convey congratulatory messages on her recent appointment and discuss potential cooperation in the Clean Energy sector.



Xu Song praised the Thai government for its leadership in alternative energy within ASEAN and recognized Thailand’s potential in this field. He also commended Thailand for its ability to drive successful sustainable development projects, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Xu Song also expressed his organization’s readiness to invest in the Clean Energy industry in Thailand and its commitment to supporting the development of skilled workers, particularly in the fields of alternative energy and Clean Energy.



Furthermore, Professor Narumon expressed her appreciation and acknowledged Thailand’s potential. She extended an invitation for the organization to participate as a partner in the nation’s development, particularly in areas that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She also encouraged SPIC to invest in Thailand and requested support for human resource development, labor skill enhancement, and the exchange of knowledge to jointly develop intellectual property in alternative energy.

As a Trade Representative, she assured her preparedness to offer support, guidance, and assistance should SPIC encounter challenges in any aspect. (NNT)
