The Prime Minister is scheduled to travel to Phuket to welcome his Malaysian counterpart Anwar Ibrahim on a private visit.

There will be a small meeting, also attended by Deputy Secretary-General of the National Security Council (NSC) Chatchai Bangchuat, who heads the team to discuss peace in the southern border region.

The discussion will cover the establishment of a Thai-Malaysian Border Committee on four fronts: border trade, agriculture, tourism, and security. Additionally, there will be talks about the construction of a bridge, spanning over the Sungai-Kolok River to promote tourism. (TNA)
