The Meteorological Department has forecast weather conditions for the next 24 hours, highlighting a strong monsoon trough extending across the upper northern region of Thailand and northern Laos, connecting to a low-pressure system over northern Vietnam. Additionally, southeasterly and southwesterly winds are affecting the upper northeastern region, while the southwest monsoon continues to cover the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand.

This weather pattern is expected to bring heavy rainfall to the northern, upper northeastern, and southern regions, with particularly heavy rain in parts of the upper northern region. Residents in these areas are urged to be cautious of potential hazards from heavy and accumulated rainfall, which may cause flash floods and landslides, particularly in hilly areas, near waterways, and low-lying areas.

In the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand, waves are expected to reach around 1 meter in height, with waves higher than 1 meter in areas experiencing thunderstorms. Fishermen are advised to avoid sailing in stormy conditions.
