BANGKOK, Thailand – The Student Loan Fund (SLF) has announced a debt relief program for borrowers in northern Thailand affected by severe flooding. Those impacted can apply for a suspension of debt repayment without facing penalties, offering temporary financial relief during the crisis. The fund has established specific criteria for eligibility.

Borrowers may request a deferral of repayments for up to two consecutive terms, with each term lasting no more than a year. During this period, borrowers will not be required to pay principal or interest, and any late payment penalties or fees incurred will be waived.

The relief effort comes as many northern provinces, including Chiang Rai, have suffered substantial flood damage. The SLF is offering support to help those impacted by natural disasters cope with financial challenges during this difficult time.

More information on eligibility and the application process can be found on the SLF’s official website or through their official communication channels. (NNT)
