BANGKOK, 24 February 2013  More than 100 members of a rally group called “the Unquiet Force” have called on Bangkok gubernatorial voters to cast no vote for proxies of politicians, in order to keep the capital from political interference.

The group, on Sunday, gathered at the Royal Plaza to campaign against Bangkok governor candidates, who they claimed to be working for politicians or powerful government figures.

The protesting students said, if one of these candidates won the election, Bangkok, an autonomous special administrative area, would face political interventions and would be exploited for personal gains and corruption.

The group, therefore, asked Bangkok voters to realize the gravity of such problems and threats that would be caused by such election candidates while urging all to step out to protect Bangkok.
