Supreme Court to indict former TAT Director for accepting bribes

BANGKOK – Thailand’s Supreme Court will indict the former head of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) for accepting bribes.

According to the Secretary General of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), Sansern Poljiak, the Supreme Court has decided to indict former TAT Director Juthamas Siriwa who allegedly accepted over 60 million Baht in bribes from an American film-making couple in order to allow them to hold the Bangkok Film Festival during the government of Thaksin Shinawatra.

The former TAT Director will be required to appear before the Supreme Court to hear the charges.
