Surin NRC hosts public forum to hear opinions on charter drafting and reform

BANGKOK, 7 May 2015  – The National Reform Council has held another public forum in northeastern Surin to hear more opinions related to the charter drafting and the reform process.

The latest public forum by the NRC took place on Tuesday in Tha Tum district of Surin province. The event was also joined by residents from Sanom and Champion Buri district.

Under the plan of the NRC’s committee on public participation, a sub-committee for Surin has been set up to organize one provincial-level public forum and 10 similar sessions at the district level to collect as much opinions from the people as possible.

As the session proceeded, participants were divided into three groups to voice out their opinion while the whole event was broadcast live on the NBT’s Surin radio network.

The next session will be held to hear the voices of residents of Khwao Sinarin and Chom Phra on May 20.
