BANGKOK, 5 May 2015 – Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister General Prawit Wongsunwan said he believes the special economic zones (SEZs) will begin to attract investments in September.
The Defense Minister revealed after attending the SEZ meeting that investors would pay more attention to SEZs, once investment incentives and land allotment have been announced.
Relevant agencies have been instructed to determine the terms and conditions regarding the incentives and lands by the end of September.
Tak and Sa Kaeo will be the first two SEZ provinces in Thailand to be fully equipped and ready for investment.
The government will continue to improve basic infrastructure and promote local products to make the two provinces more attractive to future investments.
