TAK, 16 June 2015,  Tak Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 yesterday held a teacher seminar, discussing the result of the Brain Based Learning (BBL) techniques among the 1,000 teachers and school board members attending the event.

BBL refers to teaching methods, lesson designs, and school programs that are based on the latest scientific research on how the brain learns. Recent discoveries in cognitive science have revealed that the human brain physically changes when it learns, and that after practicing certain skills, it becomes increasingly easier to continue learning.

Earlier the Office of Basic Education Commission (OBEC) has set a goal to help all first graders in the area learn to read and write within a year through the use of Digital Learning and Teaching Victoria (DLTV), Digital Learning and Instructional Technology (DLIT), and the BBL techniques.

The attendees are expected to be able to implement the technique on their first grade students, helping them to read and write, in accordance with the OBEC’s policy.
