An election candidate from the Pheu Thai party Nitchanat Wangkahad-Thanyakit was canvassing members of the public at the fresh market in Naklua after which she and her driver returned to their car to find that the rear window had been smashed.
Tension has been mounting over the last few weeks regarding criminal actions by those opposing certain political parties with police doing a number of raids on known criminals in an effort to reduce violence.
Police examine the smashed window.
The candidate’s driver told stated that at first he hadn’t realized that the window had been smashed.
Police took a number of photographs, however as there were no witnesses the criminal remains at large.
