Bangkok – Thai Airways International (THAI) has rescheduled its flights connecting Bangkok and Karachi in Pakistan and is utilizing larger aircraft to accommodate more passengers in the wake of an air traffic restriction over Oman airspace from March 6 to 11.

Affected flights include TG341 service from Bangkok to Karachi, and the return TG342 from Karachi to Bangkok. The airline has changed operating aircraft for these flights from Airbus A330 to Boeing 747 to increase the passenger capacity.

Due to previous closure of Pakistani airspace and current overfly restriction; the airline has been operating flights from Bangkok to Karachi over Oman’s airspace.

Oman has however announced a closure of air traffic for all flights travelling to and from Pakistan through Muscat flight information region, effective until March 11.

Passengers on these services are advised to check their flight information and travel updates on thaiairways.com website, or call THAI Contact Center at 0-2356-1111 available 24 hours a day.
