Thai and Serbian officials explore opportunities in trade and tourism

Thailand and Serbia strengthen ties as H.E. Mr. Russ Jalichandra and H.E. Mr. Damjan Jovic discuss trade, tourism, and global cooperation during bilateral talks in Bangkok.

BANGKOK, Thailand – H.E. Mr. Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Damjan Jovic, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, on the occasion his visit to Thailand during 21-25 November 2024.

On this occasion, both sides discussed ways to promote bilateral cooperation in various areas of mutual interest such as trade and investment, tourism, as well as people-to-people contacts. The Thai side congratulated Serbia on the accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC) in 2023 and for being elected to host the Belgrade Specialized EXPO 2027. The Serbian side thanked Thailand for the granting of the Visa on Arrival (VoA) scheme for the purpose of tourism and business for Serbian nationals. In addition, they also exchanged views on key regional and global issues. (MFA)
