BANGKOK – The Chao Phya Abhai Raja Siammanukulkij Foundation is organising a series of events entitled “Thai – Belgian Friendship: Celebrating an Everlasting Friendship between The Kingdom of Thailand and The Kingdom of Belgium”. The activities, aimed at emphasizing the long and historic link between the two Kingdoms and their Royal families, are being organised in Bangkok, Thailand.
“Belgium and Thailand have always enjoyed good relations, and the friendship between the Belgian and Thai Royal Families has never faded. Friendship is what this year’s event is about and there is also an important charity aspect to it, which is aimed at raising funds for the construction of schools by the Border Patrol Police in remote areas of Thailand” Count Gerald van Der Straten Ponthoz, Chairman of the Chao Phya Abhai Raja Siammanukulkij Foundation said this week.
The event will take place from the 1st November until the 9th November 2015 with the opening ceremony honored by the presence of HRH Princess Maha Chaki Siridhorn for the launch of an Exhibition of Royal visits, at Siam Paragon. Activities at this event also include portraits of the Thai and Belgian Monarchs painted by Thai artists, as well as a public exhibition of photographs and short documentaries about the Monarchs and members of both Royal Families during visits to Thailand and Belgium.
