Thai delegation visit to Chile under Latin Link 2024 Project

The delegation participated in several activities during their stay in Chile, including Thailand-Chile Business Roundtable.

Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, led a Thai delegation to Chile under Latin Link 2024 Project on 5-8 August 2024. The initiative aims at enhancing trade and investment opportunities in Latin America for Thai private sectors, matching them with potential partners in the region.



The delegation participated in several activities during their stay in Chile, including Thailand-Chile Business Roundtable. The Roundtable was an opportunity for the Thai private sectors joining the Latin Link 2024 project to learn from Chile’s public and private authorities the potential, as well as economic opportunities, both in trade and investment. Also, the Deputy Permanent Secretary led the delegation to visit the Port of Valparaíso, the second largest port in Chile, providing maritime connection with Thailand.

Chile is Thailand’s 4th largest trading partner in Latin America and the first country in the region with whom Thailand signed a comprehensive Free Trade Agreement, allowing import products to enjoy 0% tax rate. (MFA)
