Thai cuisine has been placed 17th overall on the list of “100 Best Cuisines in the World” for 2023 by the website TasteAtlas, while various Thai dishes are included in the list of “100 Best Dishes in the World.”
Along with Phat Kaphrao, which ranked third, other Thai delicacies that rank highly on the list include Khao Soi, which comes in at number six; Phanaeng curry, which ranks 10th; Tom Kha Gai, which ranks 15; and Massaman curry, which ranks 73rd.
The Brazilian beef cut Picanha is the highest-ranked food for 2023, followed by the Malaysian bread Roti Canai and the Thai stir-fry Phat Kaphrao. Phat Kaphrao is described on the website as a blend of minced meat or seafood, garlic, shallots, and chili peppers, along with holy basil.
It’s interesting to note that Phat Kaphrao is the 4th most popular meal that foreigners order in Thailand. (NNT)
