Thai Election Commission holds meeting to prepare for upcoming general election on May 14

The registration of candidates for constituency MPs will be open from April 3-7, while the registration of party-list candidates will be open from April 4-7 while early voting will be held both inside and outside the country.

The Election Commission (EC) has held a meeting with 23 agencies to practice and prepare for the upcoming general elections.

EC Chairman Ittiporn Boonpracong recently presided over the management committee and coordination of the election of members of parliament, attended by representatives from agencies such as the Royal Thai Armed Forces, the Royal Thai Police, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Thailand Post, Thai Airways and Airports of Thailand.



The meeting was held to prepare for the upcoming general election on May 14. The registration of candidates for constituency MPs will be open from April 3-7, while the registration of party-list candidates will be open from April 4-7.

Early voting will be held both inside and outside the country. The EC is also preparing to investigate and rule on election complaints, maintain security, and promote public participation.
Chairman Ittiporn emphasized that the EC and related agencies are ready for the upcoming election. (NNT)
