Wellington – The Royal Thai Embassy in Wellington, New Zealand, has urged Thai nationals in the country to remain vigilant for possible attacks in the wake of the mass shooting at two mosques in Christchurch on Friday (Mar 15) that left that left 50 people dead.
Thai Ambassador to New Zealand, Danai Menabodhi, issued the announcement following the Christchurch attacks, warning Thai people living in or visiting New Zealand to take care of their safety as the national security threat level remains high.
Thai nationals are advised to closely follow the news and advisories from New Zealand authorities and to follow the embassy’s social media platforms to stay updated on the latest information.
Those who plan to travel from Christchurch airport at this time are advised to arrive at the airport early, as additional screening measures are in place.
