BANGKOK, Thailand – The Ministry of Culture advances Thailand’s soft power through film industry development with two major initiatives: a roadshow at Hong Kong International Film & TV Market (FILMART) 2025 and a THB 220 million (USD 6.4M) funding program for Thai creative content.
The FILMART roadshow, scheduled for March 17-20, 2025, in Hong Kong SAR, aims to promote Thai films and content internationally. Film companies and associations can apply to participate until January 20, 2025.
Additionally, THACCA (Thailand Creative Culture Agency), in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and the Film Industry Subcommittee, has launched a THB 220 million (USD 6.4M) funding program to support Thai films, series, documentaries, and animation production. The budget allocation includes:
THB 200M (USD 5.8M) for content production
THB 10M (USD 0.3M) for new creative content development
THB 10M (USD 0.3M) for global market-focused short films (PRD)
