BANGKOK -The government is working with the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of the Thai Industries to promote border investments.
The government has recently placed great emphasis on boosting the border economy in addition to the ongoing special economic zone developments.
Marketing and public relations plans are currently being developed as part of a joint effort by the government, the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Thai Industries to promote investments in 10 border economic zones.
Business incentives for potential investors and a network of business allies are also expected to be established to accommodate border investments. They will be proposed to the special economic zone policy committee for consideration in May.
Meanwhile, the Federation of Thai Industries has announced that the Board of Investment has approved 45 investment projects worth 8.3 billion baht since January 2015 and is currently considering six others.
