Thai Health Ministry screen merchants in markets for new COVID-19 cases

Health officers continue to screen merchants operating in the 2 markets after the governor of Pathum Thani ordered the closure of both markets until February 16.

BANGKOK – The Ministry of Public Health is now focusing on Pathum Thani province, after a cluster of new COVID-19 cases was detected at Pornpat and Suchart Markets in Thanyaburi district.



According to the Department of Disease Control, infections had soared at the markets because a number of cases were among infected vendors who operated stalls at the center of the seafood hub.



Health officers continue to screen merchants operating in the 2 markets after the governor of Pathum Thani ordered the closure of both markets until February 16. (NNT)
