Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has praised the recent recognition of Thailand’s mango dishes, particularly Thai Mango Sticky Rice, which placed 2nd on the “26 Best Rated Dishes with Mango” list by TasteAtlas. The achievement reflects the global acclaim for Thai food.
According to Chai Wacharonke, Government Spokesperson, the Prime Minister is committed to promoting Thai cuisine on the global stage.
TasteAtlas, a leading culinary website known for its rankings and reviews by food critics worldwide, listed five Thai mango dishes among the top 26. Thai Mango Sticky Rice, a popular dessert featuring sweet mango slices with coconut sticky rice, ranked 2nd. Thai Green Mango with Sweet Fish Sauce, made from crisp, tart Thai mangoes paired with a sweet and salty fish sauce, ranked 10th.
Other notable Thai mango dishes included Thai Mango Spicy Salad at 11th, the Sweet Fish Sauce by itself at 16th, and Pickled Mango at 23rd. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of Thai food’s unique flavors, rich ingredients, meticulous preparation, and Thai creativity, all of which have gained global recognition.
The Government Spokesperson stated that the government has continuously promoted Thai cuisine as part of its soft power strategy. This involves presenting both popular and lesser-known dishes to enhance global awareness of Thai food culture. (NNT)
