Thai outstanding researchers honored

BANGKOK, 15 January 2013  The National Research Council of Thailand has announced that it will hold an award presentation to honor outstanding researchers whose research papers form an important part of the country’s development.

Over 100 research projects have been awarded for the year 2012. A study on the effects of wind-waves generated by tropical cyclones using wave model by Mr Worachat Wannawong is among the 39 outstanding theses in 2012. In addition, 10 other excellent researchers and 28 other research projects have also won awards.

Every year, the National Research Council of Thailand invites several organizations and agencies to propose their research projects and PHD theses for the annual awards. 166 researchers have been selected this year for their talents, knowledge, and works that benefit the research society and the public.

The award presentation ceremony will be held on Inventors’ Day, February 2nd at IMPACT.
