Prinn Panitchpakdi, former deputy leader of the Democrat Party, acknowledged another molestation charge at the Lumpini police station, Bangkok.
He showed up at the station as its interrogators summonsed him to face the charge.
Steel barricades were placed and a van was parked in front of the station. The vehicle was prepared to send Mr Prinn to the Bangkok South Criminal Court where police would seek approval to extend his detention period.
