PM Paetongtarn partners with Microsoft to strengthen the nation’s digital economy and drive regional innovation.

LIMA, Peru Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra held a productive meeting with Antony Cook, Corporate Vice President at Microsoft, to advance digital collaboration and propel Thailand’s digital economy forward, November 14.

Building on earlier discussions between former PM Srettha Thavisin and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, the Prime Minister emphasized Thailand’s commitment to becoming a digital hub in the region. She highlighted the government’s “Go Cloud First” initiative as a cornerstone of Thailand’s digital transformation, aiming to enhance infrastructure, foster innovation, and equip the workforce with essential digital skills.

Microsoft reaffirmed its confidence in Thailand’s potential as a regional digital leader, pledging to support education institutions in training Thai workers with advanced digital competencies. Both parties agreed to collaborate on creating a favorable environment for innovation, strengthening Thailand’s competitiveness in the global digital economy. (PRD)
