BANGKOK- The Thai Red Cross Society recently held a four-day blood drive to commemorate World Red Cross Day on May 8.

The event was at the National Blood Center in the Thai Red Cross Society’s headquarters on Henry Dununt Road, highlighting the organization’s humanitarian principles. An exhibition about blood donation was also held at the venue.

A large number of blood donors lined up to donate blood from early morning at the National Blood Center, prompting the Thai Red Cross Society to increase its staff numbers to facilitate the process. All donors received a t-shirt as a souvenir of their donation.

The event, which started on May 5 and concluded on May 8, was able to generate an average of 1,700 units of blood daily.
