BANGKOK, 22 March 2015 – The ‘Thai Rice: Thainess’ fair at the Padung Krung Kasem canal in Bangkok recorded a high purchase of low priced high quality rice by the visitors to this event today.
Many people have flocked to the Thai Rice: Thainess fair taking place at the Padung Krung Kasem canal next to the government house to purchase a variety of rice from all regions that are being sold with discounted prices. Top sellers include brown rice, riceberry, and Hom Mali jasmine rice.
The event also features the exhibition of His Majesty’s contribution to Thai rice development, the Wonders of Thai rice exhibition, skills development workshops, cultural and traditional performances, folk recreations, and rice cooking workshops.
At this event, Miss Bowornrat Komwet, a visitor from Pathum Thani province, said that she attended this event to learn more on the various kinds of rice being exhibited in this event, because some hard to find and are cheaper than the regular market price here. She also hopes that the event will be held every year to encourage farmers to produce high quality rice.
The Thai Rice: Thainess fair exhibits and sells rice strains from all over the country. The public can attend the exhibition during 11am until 8pm everyday. The event will conclude on 5 April 2015.
