BANGKOK – Thai and Singaporean soldiers are taking part in a joint military training program in a move to promote defense cooperation and ties between the two countries.
The program’s opening ceremony was co-chaired by commander of the 4th Infantry Division Maj Gen Nopporn Ruanchan and Commander of the 8th Singapore Armoured Brigade Col Frederick Choo. More than 700 Thai and Singaporean soldiers are participating in the activity.
During the training, Singaporean army officers are to take military exercises with Thai counterparts to foster military ties, friendship and cultural understanding of each other’s countries. The program consists of cross training exercise and field training exercise which are to take place at training camps in Tak and Sukhothai. The activity will continue until 28th February.
