Bangkok –Thai universities have been included in World University Rankings 2020 by The Times Higher Education.
According to the Times website, the rankings are based on 13 criteria which measure teaching, research, knowledge transfer and the international outlook of each educational institution.
Among all Thai universities, Mae Fah Luang University leads in the rankings. It received its highest scores in citations and international outlook while Mahidol University received its highest scores in industry, income and international outlook. Both were ranked in the ‘six to eight-hundred’ category out of 1,400 universities across 92 countries.
In ASEAN, Singapore provided two universities of the highest rank: the National University of Singapore, in 25th place and Nanyang Technological University, 48th.
As for no.1, the University of Oxford in the UK leads the rankings, as it has for 4 consecutive years, followed by the California Institute of Technology and the University of Cambridge.
