Thai Vice Minister signs condolence book for Former Indian PM Manmohan Singh

H.E. Mr. Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, signed the condolence book on behalf of the Royal Thai Government at the Indian Embassy in Bangkok, paying tribute to H.E. Mr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India, whose legacy includes economic reforms and strengthened ties between Thailand and India.

BANGKOK, Thailand – H.E. Mr. Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, on behalf of the Royal Thai Government, signed the condolence book on the passing of H.E. Mr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India, at the Embassy of India in Bangkok on 3 January. The Vice Minister was received by H.E. Mr. Nagesh Singh, Ambassador of India to Thailand.

H.E. Mr. Manmohan Singh served as Prime Minister of India for two terms, from 2004 to 2009 and from 2009 to 2014. He was praised for his key roles in reforming India’s economy and for laying the foundation for the country’s modernization. During his leadership, he also played an important part in strengthening the close relations between Thailand and India.
