BANGKOK, Thailand – The Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), in partnership with we!park, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, and other key organizations, is set to host the Active City Forum 2025 from March 21st to 23rd at Emsphere, Bangkok. The event, themed “Activate City for Healthier Life,” seeks to encourage healthier urban spaces through cross-sector collaboration.

Niramon Rasri, Director of ThaiHealth’s Promotion of Healthy Lifestyle Section, stressed the importance of accessible Healthy Spaces, pointing out that non-communicable diseases (NCDs) cost Thailand over 1.6 trillion baht annually. Expanding public spaces for physical activities can help reduce disease rates and lighten the economic burden.

Yossapon Boonsom, Founding Director of we!park, underscored the forum’s focus on supporting sustainable urban growth. He emphasized that Healthy Spaces should be integrated into daily life to boost public health, social well-being, economic development, and environmental sustainability, while tackling the challenges of future urbanization.

The forum will bring together urban planners, public health experts, and policymakers from Denmark, Singapore, Japan, the UK, and Malaysia. They will share insights on creating healthier, more livable cities.

The Active City Forum 2025 invites the public to participate in shaping Thailand into a more active and health-conscious society. Admission is free, and those interested can register at https://www.facebook.com/wecreatepark/. (NNT)
