BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has hosted a meeting with ASEAN Secretary-General Dr. Kao Kim Hourn at Government House to discuss joint efforts in tackling transnational crime, cybersecurity, and prisoner rehabilitation.

During the discussion, Prime Minister Paetongtarn reaffirmed Thailand’s dedication to addressing cybercrime and online fraud, emphasizing the need for coordinated actions to counter these growing threats. Responding to the Thai Premier, Dr. Kao commended Thailand’s contributions to ASEAN’s public health goals, noting the establishment of the ASEAN Center for Public Health Emergencies and Emerging Diseases as an essential step in strengthening the region’s pandemic preparedness.
