The Thai government will cooperate with South Korea in Covid-19 vaccine production, said Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.
Moon Seoung-hyun, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Thailand on Thursday paid a courtesy call on Mr. Antin on the occasion of the Ambassador’s assumption of duty.
Both sides discussed cooperation in various fields particularly in preparation to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on Covid-19 vaccine development in October.
The ambasssdor affirmed investor confidence in expanding production bases to Thailand and said Thailand remains a destination of South Korean tourists.
Before the Covid-19 pandemic, up to two million South Korean tourists visited Thailand a year. After the Covid-19 situation improves, more visitors will return to the kingdom as they are confident in safety and the public health system, he said. (TNA)
