H.E. Mr. Jakkapong Sangmanee, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand attended the official welcome ceremony in honour of H.E. Mr. Srettha Thavisin, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, and the Thai delegation at the Presidential Secretariat of Sri Lanka.
After the ceremony, the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and the President of Sri Lanka had a meeting to explore cooperation on visa-free arrangement and two-way investment in fishing industry. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand also joined the bilateral discussion to further strengthen the cooperation on trade and investment after the conclusion of Thailand – Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement. Both sides also discussed other areas of cooperation such as tourism, and development, and multilateral cooperation in ASEAN, ACD, BIMSTEC, and IORA. (MFA)
