David Teh, Artistic Director for the Thailand Biennale, Phuket 2025, revealed that this edition’s theme is “Eternal [Kalpa],” which focuses on the sustainable relationship between humans and nature. The festival aims to promote art and sustainable tourism in the province. The city is also well known globally as a popular tourist destination and a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.

One of the highlights during the press conference was a rong-ngeng show, a dance from the southern region, which was performed on a gondola in a Venetian canal. The performance represented the combination of the traditional culture of Phuket and contemporary dance styles. (PRD)
