Sa Kaeo – The Thai – Cambodian border economic zone in Sa Kaeo province is launching a campaign to increase border trade.
The Deputy Governor of Sa Kaeo recently addressed government officials, military personnel, police officers, and Thai business representatives in a seminar to enhance relations with neighboring countries. The seminar was also attended by the deputy governors of Banteay Meanchey and Battambang in Cambodia.
Officials from both countries aim to collaborate in educating businesses on ways to reduce border trade barriers and develop distribution channels in both countries, in order to accommodate greater commercial activity.
The Governor of Battambang said the border trade development program will serve to connect with other economic zones in eastern Cambodia, which would enhance the stability of trade and investment programs. Sa Kaeo seeks to increase the value of trade, investment, and tourism within the CLMVT and ASEAN+6.
