In this week’s Cabinet meeting, key stakeholders convened to discuss the forthcoming Colorful Bangkok Winter Festival.

Involved parties included the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Ministry of Culture, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, and the National Soft Power Committee. The meeting aimed to publicize TAT’s planned events designed to invigorate Bangkok’s end-of-year tourism scene.

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin commended TAT and other associated organizations for their preparations. The festival is expected to boost tourism confidence and bring joy to locals. Cooperation from both governmental and private sectors in organizing the festival was also acknowledged by the Prime Minister.

The Colorful Bangkok Winter Festival intends to showcase Thai identity. Key highlights will feature traditional Loy Krathong festivities, arts, light shows, music, and a countdown event. The activities span locations from Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem to the Chao Phraya Riverbank. This marks a significant step in enhancing the cultural capital of Thailand, contributing to the nation’s “soft power” strategy. (NNT)
