Thailand-Germany relations show positive development this year, says Parnpree

DPM/FM expressed his delight that Thailand-Germany relations has shown positive development, especially this year with the official visit of the President of Germany in January and the official visit of the Prime Minister in March this year.

H.E. Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, gave a keynote speech in the OAV 123 Stiftungsfest organized by the German-Asia Pacific Business Association of Bremen (OAV Bremen) at Bremen City Hall in Bremen, Germany.

DPM/FM expressed his delight that Thailand-Germany relations has shown positive development, especially this year with the official visit of the President of Germany in January and the official visit of the Prime Minister in March this year. DPM/FM also expressed his commitment to promote 3 main areas of cooperation between Thailand and Germany. First is cooperation to tackle climate change aligned with the President of Germany’s message “Germany and Thailand are entering a new era of cooperation towards a sustainable growth path.” Thailand also aims to be the lead in EV industry in Southeast Asia. The second area is economic cooperation with the goal to conclude the Thai-EU FTA by 2025. The third area is human resource development which will benefit the peoples in both countries.



OAV Bremen aims to promote economic cooperation and connect German business sectors in Bremen with Asian business sectors. The association holds a yearly stiftungsfest to celebrate the establishment of the association. Thailand is the focus country of this year’s event with more than 350 people in attendance. (MFA)
