BANGKOK, Thailand – Thailand has been honored as Travel + Leisure’s Destination of the Year for 2025. Such recognition reinforces Thailand’s timeless charm and renowned hospitality, which continue to impress visitors worldwide.
According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Thailand looks forward to welcoming more travelers to experience Thailand’s unique allure through five “must-do” experiences: “Must Taste” (the flavors of Thailand), “Must Try” (local activities), “Must Buy” (authentic products), “Must Seek” (hidden gems and once-in-a-lifetime moments), and “Must See” (celebrate culture and festivals).
This marks the tenth consecutive year that the Travel + Leisure editors have selected a Destination of the Year, an annual recognition awarded to countries that represents excellence in cultural offerings, tourism, innovation, and sustainable travel practices. Previous honorees include Costa Rica, Italy, and Japan.
